Saudi Arabia's construction and industrial sectors continue to experience robust growth, driving strong demand for high-quality gypsum powder used in drywall, cement production, and various manufacturing applications. To meet this growing need, a Saudi client recently commissioned a complete gypsum powder production line centered around Baichy's MTW175 European-style Trapezium Mill—with a designed capacity of 25 tons per hour at 200 mesh fineness.

What made this project stand out was not just the equipment itself, but the comprehensive on-site support provided by Baichy's engineering team. From installation guidance to commissioning and operator training, Baichy's engineers were on the ground in Saudi Arabia ensuring the entire process went smoothly—demonstrating the company's strong commitment to after-sales service.
The Project at a Glance
Location: Saudi Arabia
Material: Gypsum
Equipment: complete European Trapezium Mill Plant MTW175
Designed Capacity: 25 TPH
Product Fineness: 200 mesh
Service Provided: On-site installation guidance and commissioning support
The MTW175 is the latest upgraded version of the traditional Raymond mill, incorporating advanced European milling technology with years of field-proven engineering experience. It is specifically designed for grinding non-metallic minerals with Mohs hardness below 9.3 and moisture content below 6%—making it an ideal choice for gypsum processing.
1. High Capacity & Efficiency: With an output range of 10–35 tons per hour, the MTW175 perfectly matches the 25 TPH design requirement of this production line. Advanced grinding roller design and optimized airflow systems significantly improve grinding efficiency.
2. Precise Fineness Control: The mill is equipped with an intelligent classifier that allows precise control of powder fineness from 80 to 800 mesh. For this project, achieving 200 mesh consistently was essential to meet the client's gypsum powder specifications.
3. Energy-Efficient Operation: The automatic lubrication system and durable wear parts extend maintenance intervals and lower overall operational costs. The MTW series has been greatly improved in terms of output, fineness control, and environmental protection compared to traditional Raymond mills.
4. Environmentally Friendly Design: An integrated pulse dust collector and sealed airflow system minimize dust emission, meeting environmental regulations and creating a cleaner workplace. Vibration damping features also protect the frame and other components from long-term fatigue.
5. Long Service Life: Constructed with high-quality materials such as alloy steel and wear-resistant parts, the MTW175 guarantees reliable long-term operation. Baichy also offers lifetime spare parts supply to support ongoing maintenance.
The complete gypsum powder production line for this Saudi project includes the following integrated systems:
1. Crushing System
Equipment such as jaw crushers or hammer crushers reduces large gypsum raw materials to a size of less than 30 mm, preparing them for the subsequent grinding stage.
2. Grinding System
The raymond mill MTW175 mill performs the core grinding function. Inside the mill chamber, gypsum material is crushed between the roller and grinding ring under high-pressure centrifugal force. Multiple rollers rotate around the central shaft, grinding the material into fine powder as it moves along the grinding path. A built-in classifier controls fineness by returning coarse particles for regrinding while allowing fine powder to pass through.
3. Powder Collection System
The finely ground gypsum powder is carried by airflow into the cyclone collector and pulse dust collector, where it is separated and collected. The cyclone collector captures most of the fine powder, while the dust collector ensures clean air discharge.
4. Finished Product Handling
The collected gypsum powder is discharged through the discharge valve, ready for packaging or further processing. The whole system operates in a closed-loop manner to maximize efficiency and minimize material loss.
Gypsum powder produced at 200 mesh fineness is widely used across multiple industries in the Saudi market:
● Construction Sector: Gypsum powder is an indispensable material in drywall production, plastering gypsum, and gypsum blocks, as well as cement retarders. The Saudi construction boom continues to drive strong demand.
● Industrial Sector: Gypsum serves as a coating agent for paper, filler for cosmetics, and raw material for various manufacturing processes.
● Agriculture: Gypsum is used for soil conditioning in agricultural applications, improving soil structure and providing essential nutrients.
● New Markets: Demand for gypsum powder in Saudi Arabia is also supported by the growing adoption of energy-efficient building practices and the wider use of dry construction techniques.
The Saudi MTW175 project illustrates a core principle of Baichy's business philosophy: "Design, Install & Training". The company stands behind its equipment with:
● Lifetime Technical Guidance and original spare parts support
● Video Outgoing Inspection to verify equipment quality before shipment
● 24/7 Online Service for prompt technical assistance
● Professional On-Site Support for installation and commissioning
● CE & ISO Certification ensuring quality standards
This comprehensive after-sales approach has earned Baichy a strong reputation in international markets, including Saudi Arabia, where clients increasingly choose Baichy equipment not just for its performance but for the reliable service that ensures long-term success. Through strong manufacturing capability and customer-focused service, Baichy continues to support global partners in achieving efficient and stable mineral powder production.
