250tph Mobile Stone Crusher for Bluestone Crushing Process in Xinjiang

Project Overview:

Bluestone, a local high-hardness and high-stability natural stone, is an ideal raw material for producing construction aggregate. This case study details the successful operation of a 250-ton-per-hour mobile crushing plant in the Xinjiang region of China. The project was established to process locally sourced bluestone (a type of dense, hard basalt or limestone) into high-quality aggregates for regional infrastructure and construction projects. The plant was designed to efficiently produce four distinct, specification-grade products to meet diverse market needs.

The Challenge:

The primary challenge was processing hard and abrasive bluestone in a potentially remote and climatically demanding location like Xinjiang. The client required a robust, high-yield plant capable of producing a variety of aggregate sizes, including chips and finer materials, with excellent particle shape for high-strength concrete applications. Mobility was key to advancing along the quarry face and minimizing material transport costs.

The Solution: A Two-Stage Mobile Crushing Plant

A combination of a mobile jaw crusher and a mobile cone crusher was selected as the optimal solution. This configuration provides excellent crushing efficiency, mobility, and the flexibility to produce precisely sized end products.

1. Primary Crushing: Mobile Jaw Crusher (PE750X1060)

● Equipment: Mobile Jaw Crusher station equipped with a PE750 * 1060 jaw crusher.
● Function: This unit serves as the primary crusher. Large bluestone blocks are fed into its vibrating feeder. The powerful jaw crusher, known for its high compressive strength, breaks down the large rocks into smaller pieces, typically reducing them to a size of 150-200mm.

● Advantages: The PE750X1060 provides reliable, high-capacity primary crushing with low wear costs, which is essential for processing abrasive rock like bluestone.

2. Secondary & Fine Crushing: Mobile Impact Crusher (PFW1315)

● Equipment: Mobile Impact Crusher station equipped with a PFW1315 impact crusher.
● Function: The pre-crushed material from the jaw crusher is conveyed to the PFW1315 impact crusher for secondary and fine crushing. The impact crusher uses the principle of impact force to fracture the stones, resulting in a perfectly cubical product. The hydraulic adjustable grinding path and rotor speed allow for precise control over the final product sizes.

● Advantages: The PFW1315 is particularly effective for producing high-quality aggregates with excellent grain shape. Its heavy-duty rotor and wear-resistant blow bars make it suitable for hard rocks, ensuring high productivity and consistent gradation.

3. Screening & Final Products:

● The crushed material is then processed by integrated vibrating screens. The material is efficiently sorted into the four required final product sizes. The closed-circuit design ensures that any oversized material is automatically recirculated back to the impact crusher for further reduction, maximizing efficiency and product consistency.

Key Benefits & Results:

1. Optimal for Hard Rock: The combination of a robust jaw crusher and a heavy-duty impact crusher is perfectly suited to handle the challenges of processing hard and abrasive bluestone.
2. Superior Product Shape: The use of the PFW1315 impact crusher in the secondary stage guarantees a high proportion of cubical particles, which is critical for the strength and durability of concrete and asphalt mixes.
3. High Efficiency & Flexibility: The plant reliably achieves the target capacity of 250 tph. The mobility of both units allows the operation to be moved easily, keeping pace with the quarry face and drastically reducing truck haulage.
4. Precise Product Control: The advanced technology of the PFW1315 crusher enables the production of four clean, well-defined aggregate sizes, allowing the client to meet specific customer specifications and maximize market value.
5. Robust Performance in Demanding Conditions: The selected equipment is designed for reliability, ensuring stable operation in the demanding environment of Xinjiang.

What is a mobile crusher?

Mobile crushers are track-mounted or wheel type rock crushing machines that are easily movable on and between production sites. They are widely used in aggregates production, recycling applications, and in mining operations.

What is the difference between mobile crusher and fixed crusher?

The mobility of mobile crushers provides more flexibility in meeting on-site work requirements. You can easily move them around a worksite as needed. Stationary crushers are fixed in place, usually situated at a quarry or mine. They are limited to one site, so all materials must be brought to them.

How to maintain a mobile crusher?

At the end of each shift, perform the following duties: 1. Clean the equipment, remove trapped rocks or debris. 2. Lubricate components, grease pins, joints and moving surfaces. 3. Top up grease and oil levels, coolant/antifreeze if needed. 4. Park and secure the crusher appropriately when not in use..

How to choose the right mobile crusher?

Here are some key considerations: material characteristics. hardness and abrasiveness, different crushers are designed to handle varying levels of hardness and abrasiveness, capacity requirements, mobility and size, technology and features, operational costs, safety and environmental considerations, manufacturer support.
