In the mining and aggregate production industry, efficiency and reliability are paramount. The Impact Crusher FPW1214 stands out as a high-performance secondary or tertiary crushing machine, engineered to process medium-hard materials such as limestone, granite, concrete, and construction waste. Its robust design and superior crushing capabilities make it an ideal choice for various mining and quarrying applications, ensuring high productivity and excellent product shape. It is widely used for sand and rock production in the industry of roads, railways, building materials and so on. This type of impact crusher PFW1214 is installed in Russia successfully.
The PF1214 features a heavy-duty rotor with significant rotational inertia, delivering powerful impact force to crush materials with compressive strength up to 350 MPa. With a large feed opening (400×1430 mm), it can accept input sizes up to 350 mm, offering a substantial processing capacity that meets the demands of high-volume production lines.
The optimized crushing chamber design and adjustable discharge setting allow for precise control over the final product size. The output is predominantly cubic, with low flake content, making it highly desirable for high-grade concrete aggregates, road base, and other applications where particle shape is critical for strength and durability.
Critical wear parts like blow bars and impact plates are manufactured from high-chromium alloys or advanced composite materials, significantly extending service life and reducing downtime. The crusher's structure is designed for easy access and maintenance, simplifying the replacement of wear parts and lowering long-term operating costs.
The PF1214 is designed for optimal energy consumption per ton of output, offering a high crushing ratio that translates to lower operational costs. It operates with minimal vibration and noise, and can be equipped with effective sealing and dust suppression connections to meet stringent environmental regulations.

The materials are crushed via impact energy produced in the impact crusher. When the materials enter the zone of the board hammer, they are flung into the impact equipments via the high-speed impact of the board hammer. These materials will be re-crushed after rebounding into the scale board. The large materials are crushed into small pieces until it becomes the specified granularities. The end products come out from the base of the impact crusher.

It is configured with a hopper, vibrating feeder ZAW9638, primary jaw crusher PE600X900, impact crusher PF1214, vibrating screen 3YK1860, and belt conveyors. The main process is as below:
1. The truck unloads the stones into the hopper, the stone enters the vibrating feeder from the lower part of the
hopper;
2. The vibrating feeder feeds the stones evenly to the primary jaw crusher;
3. The crushed output materials 0-280mm from the primary jaw crusher will be transported to Transfer silo with a vibrating feeder.
4. The crushed output materials 0-280mm in the transfer silo will be transported to impact crusher PF1214
5. The crushed output size 0-50mm from the impact crusher PF1320 will be sent to the vibrating screen 3YK1860.
6. After screening by the three-layer vibrating screen, will get 0-5mm, 5-10mm, 10-20mm, and +20mm materials. The 0-5mm, 5-10mm, 10-20mm final products will be transported out by belt conveyors to stockpiles, +20 materials will be transported to the transfer silo for re-crushing.
This crushing plant is suitable for processing many kinds of soft stones, like limestone, plaster, etc. The capacity for this
crushing plant can be customized as per request such as 200tph, 500tph,1000tph, etc

An impact crusher can crush hard materials while a jaw crusher can crush brittle ones. A jaw crusher is suitable to use for harder rocks such as granite, basalt, ores, and concrete. On the other hand, an impact crusher will work best with clay, limestone, coal, dolomite, and other medium-hardness materials.
The main difference between an impact crusher and a cone crusher is that an impact crusher uses impact force to crush material, while a cone crusher uses pressure to crush material. Impact crushers typically use high-speed rotating hammers to crush material, while cone crushers use a spinning conical head.
Impact crushers typically require more maintenance than compression style crushers – especially if crushing hard and abrasive materials. This is because the material in an impact crusher is constantly colliding within the crusher at high velocities to break the rock apart.
