Key Components of the Gypsum Processing Line​​

1. Gypsum Crushing (Primary & Secondary)​​

As the first - stage crushers, jaw crushers are highly effective in reducing large - sized raw gypsum ore into smaller pieces. They operate on the principle of compression, with a moving jaw that crushes the material against a fixed jaw. Their robust construction and high - crushing ratio make them suitable for handling the initial breakage of gypsum, which can vary in hardness depending on its source. For secondary and tertiary crushing, PCX fine crusher or hammer crusher are often employed. These crushers ensure that the gypsum is crushed to an appropriate size for the subsequent grinding process.

2. Gypsum Grinding (Raymond Mill)​​

After crushing, gypsum is ground into fine powder. Raymond Mill is widely used in gypsum grinding production plant, Raymond mills feature a vertical structure with a rotating grinding roller and a grinding ring. The crushed gypsum enters the mill, and as the roller rotates, it presses the material against the ring, grinding it into fine powder. Raymond mills can achieve a relatively high fineness of the final product, typically ranging from 80 to 325 mesh, making them ideal for applications such as gypsum powder for wallboard production.

3.Gypsum Drying (Single Drum Rotary Dryer)​​

Rotary dryers are commonly used for drying gypsum. They consist of a large, rotating cylindrical drum through which the moist gypsum passes. Hot air is introduced into the drum, either co - current or counter - current to the material flow, to evaporate the moisture. The rotation of the drum ensures uniform drying, and the residence time of the gypsum inside the drum can be adjusted to achieve the desired moisture content, usually below 1%. Natural gypsum often contains moisture, which must be removed for proper processing.
