Raymond mill is a sealed and environmentally friendly stone powder grinding machine that adopts the design of suspended roller rolling, air separation principle and positive and negative pressure. The grinding fineness of Raymond mill is closely related to the output. It has models of YGM75, YGM95, YGM130, YGM160, YGM190. Sometimes users will damage the equipment or reduce the output due to improper operation. The standard installation of limestone Raymond mill  is as follows.

Preparations before Raymond mill installation

The factory building and power supply need to be prepared.
1-1. The workshop should have sufficient height and installation position according to Raymond mill installation foundation diagram to facilitate maintenance, material loading and unloading.
1-2. The workshop floor should be made of high-standard cement and embedded with reinforcing steel bars. The main unit and fan position of the Raymond mill can be made into a 10 cm thickness and other parts can be about 7 cm thickness.
1-3. Installation tools, such as high capacity lifting and crane tool, wrenches, wiring pliers, crowbars, etc.

Some sites do not allow any concrete construction. A sufficiently strong steel chassis can be used, and its flatness and stability during operation of the Raymond mill must be ensured.

The installation steps of Raymond mill are as follows:

1. Install reducer

Install the anchor bolts at the anchor holes of the reducer and put them together with the reducer into the reserved holes.

2. Install the host motor

Fix the host motor on the motor base, install the anchor bolts at the foot holes of the motor base, and put them together with the host motor and motor base into the reserved holes.

3. Leveling the main unit

Fix the anchor bolts, square vibration-absorbing pads and round vibration-absorbing pads to the anchor holes of the host, and put them into the reserved holes together. Install the leveling pads under the square vibration-absorbing pads to level the host.

4. Body during installation

Snail shell, sealing strip, put the sealing strip into the sealing groove of the main unit's diverter plate, and install the middle body.

5. Leveling the reducer and host coupling

Level the nylon pins of the reducer and main engine to ensure that the reducer and the main engine are coaxial. The gap between the half coupling of the reducer and the half coupling of the main engine is about 8mm. Install the nylon pin in the coupling.

6. Leveling the main motor and reducer coupling

Level the main motor and motor nylon pin to ensure that the main motor and reducer are coaxial. The gap between the motor half coupling and the reducer half coupling is 3mm. Put the motor nylon pin into the half coupling.

7. Install the fan housing to the tee pipe

Connect the fan shell to the tee pipe, install the fan anchor bolts at the anchor holes of the fan shell, and put them into the reserved holes together. Level the fan shell to ensure a 20mm gap between the tee pipe and the snail shell. , use three angle irons or steel strips to temporarily fix the fan shell and the host snail shell. After installation is complete, dismantle it and install the soft connection canvas.

After installation of the Raymond mill, all connecting parts and fixed parts must be inspected again. For some pipe joints, the screws must be tightened, and the sealing asbestos rope must not be missing, otherwise air leakage will occur. After checking that there are no problems, you can proceed to the next step: circuit linking and machine commissioning. About the commissoning steps and notice, please refer to:

People Also Frequently Asked For - FAQ:

What is the difference between a ball mill and a Raymond mill?

Raymond mills are used in many industries including mineral processing, cement plants, power generation and more. Ball Mills are slow speed horizontal mills with a rugged design and ease of maintenance coupled with excellent performance.

How does a Raymond mill work?

A Raymond mill consists of a vertical main unit that includes a grinding roller that rotates around a vertical axis. The material to be processed is fed into the grinding chamber and grinded by the grinding roller and grinding ring.

What is the Raymond mill used for?

Raymond mill is also called Raymond roller mill. It is a new type of high-fineness grinding mill with high efficiency and closed circulation, which can completely replace the cement ball mill. This kind of machine is commonly used in cement plants for raw materials fine grinding, such as limestone, coal, gypsum, etc.
