About 350t/h River Stone Crusher Plant in Tajikistan – From Quarry to High-Value Aggregates

The demand for high-quality construction aggregates and machine-made sand is ever-growing in Tajikistan. Baichy Machinery well designed a complete 3-stage crushing plant. The line efficiently produces four precisely sized and clean final products, showcasing an optimal configuration for maximum yield and profitability.

 

River stone, known for its high hardness and abrasive nature, is a valuable but challenging raw material for producing high-quality aggregates and sand. Processing it efficiently requires a robust and well-designed crushing circuit. It could not only handle the tough material but also produce multiple, precisely sized end products with excellent particle shape, all while ensuring economic viability.

 

Production Workflow: Optimized for Efficiency & Quality

The plant is engineered to optimize river stone processing, with each equipment and workflow step tailored to address the project’s challenges. The 3-stage crushing plant follows a precise, closed-circuit workflow to maximize output and product quality:

1. Primary Crushing C110 Jaw Crusher

Large river stones are fed into the C110 Jaw Crusher for initial crushing. The crushed material is then sent to the first YK2160 Screen. Jaw crusher's deep crushing chamber and robust construction make it ideal for the high-impact duty of primary size reduction, breaking down large rocks into smaller, manageable sub-200mm pieces.

2. Screening and Washing (Initial Stage): YK2260 Vibrating Screen & Sand Screw

The crushed material is then conveyed to the first YK2160 Vibrating Screen. It separates the material. The fine aggregates (typically 0-5mm) are sent directly to a Spiral Sand Washer​ for cleaning, producing a high-value natural sand product. The coarser material proceeds to the next stage.

3. Secondary Crushing: Symons Cone Crushers CS160

The coarse material from the first screen is conveyed to two Symons CS160 Cone Crushers​ for secondary crushing. This configuration ensures reliability and high capacity. The cone crushers' laminated crushing principle is perfect for hard, abrasive stone, producing a well-shaped, cubicle product ideal for concrete aggregates.

4. Tertiary Crushing & Sand Making: VSI5X1150 Impact Crusher

The material from the secondary crushing stage is screened by the second YK2160 Vibrating Screen. The mid-sized material that meets the required aggregate specifications is sent to the product stockpiles. The oversize material is fed into the VSI5X1150 Sand Maker​ for tertiary crushing and shaping. The VSI uses a "rock-on-rock" crushing principle, which is excellent for producing the desired cubical shape and creating high-quality machine-made sand from the finer particles.

5. Final Screening and Product Classification: YK2160 Vibrating Screen

The output from the VSI crusher is sent to the third YK2160 Vibrating Screen​ for final classification. This stage precisely separates the material into the four specified final products (e.g., 0-5mm manufactured sand, 5-15mm, 15-25mm, and 25-31.5mm aggregates).

1. Why are there three screening stages in this plant?

Each screen serves a distinct purpose. The first removes natural sand for immediate washing. The second separates finished aggregates after secondary crushing and re-circulates oversize material. The third screen classifies the final products from the VSI crusher. This multi-stage process ensures precision and efficiency.

2. Why use both Cone Crushers and a VSI Sand Maker?​

Cone crushers (CS160) are highly efficient for producing precisely sized aggregates with good shape. The VSI crusher (VSI5X1150) is specialized for shaping particles and creating high-quality sand, improving the overall value and performance of the final products.

3. How is the closed-circuit process beneficial?​​

The closed circuit (returning oversized material to the crushers) allows for greater control over the final product size, ensures all material is crushed to the required specification, and increases overall plant efficiency.
