Project Overview:

A leading construction materials supplier in Southeast Asia needed to establish a flexible and efficient crushing operation to support regional infrastructure development. The project required processing limestone into three specific aggregate products to meet the growing demand for high-quality construction materials. The solution was a versatile 150-ton-per-hour mobile crushing plant designed for quick setup, high productivity, and multi-product capability.

The Challenge:

The project faced several significant challenges. The crushing plant needed to be frequently relocated as the project advanced along the road's path. Fast setup and dismantling times were critical to avoid project delays. The limestone rock size and hardness could vary, demanding a robust and adaptable crushing system.

The Solution: Efficient Two-Unit Mobile Crushing System

To overcome these challenges, a highly efficient and self-contained mobile crushing line was deployed. The plant is designed to produce three final products with a total capacity of 150 tons per hour (TPH).

1. Main Crusher: Mobile Jaw Crusher Plant (Model: PE600x900)​

The mobile jaw crusher plant is equipped with a PE600X900 jaw crusher, a proven model known for its reliability and high performance. It accepts large raw limestone rocks (with a feed size of up to 500mm) and reduces them to a smaller, more manageable size. The entire unit is mounted on a single chassis, incorporating a vibrating feeder and a conveyor, making it fully mobile and ready for action.

2. ​​Screening & Grading Unit: Mobile Vibrating Screen (Model: 3YK1860)​

The crushed material from the jaw crusher is then sent to the mobile vibrating screen. The 3YK1860 is a triple-deck screen that efficiently separates the aggregate into three specific, customer-defined sizes (e.g., 0-5mm, 5-20mm, 20-31.5mm). Each deck has different sized screen meshes to achieve the precise product gradation. The mobility of this screen allows it to be positioned optimally in relation to the jaw crusher.

1. What is the expected maintenance schedule for this mobile plant?

Regular maintenance includes daily visual inspections, weekly lubrication, and monthly comprehensive checks. The jaw crusher requires manganese jaw replacement every 1,500-2,000 hours, while screen meshes typically last 800-1,200 hours depending on material abrasiveness.

2. Can the finished product sizes be adjusted if client needs change?

Absolutely. The 3YK1860 screen uses replaceable mesh panels. To modify product sizes (e.g., switch 5-10 mm to 6-12 mm), you only need to replace the middle-deck mesh (10 mm → 12 mm) and adjust the jaw crusher’s discharge opening. The process takes 1.5-2 hours with a 2-person team.

3. How long does it take to switch between quarry sites?​​

The entire line (two mobile stations + auxiliary equipment) can be disassembled, loaded onto trucks, and reassembled at a new site in 3-5 hours. This includes connecting conveyors, testing the dust system, and calibrating the screen—far faster than fixed plants (which take 7-10 days to relocate).

The mobile crushing plant is typically equipped with a built-in diesel generator set, providing independent power, which is essential for operation in remote areas with no grid connection.
