About Compact Mobile Concrete Crusher Plant

Project Overview:

A recycling specialist in Tianjin, China, was contracted to handle the processing of concrete and demolition waste generated from the city's extensive urban redevelopment projects. The goal was to transform this construction waste into valuable recycled aggregates for use in new local construction projects, promoting a circular economy. The operation needed to be highly efficient, environmentally friendly, and capable of operating within the spatial and regulatory constraints of an urban environment.

The Challenge:

The urban setting presented unique challenges not typically found in remote quarries. The crushing plant needed a small footprint to fit on confined urban demolition sites. Dust, noise, and emissions had to be strictly controlled to comply with Tianjin's stringent urban environmental standards. The construction waste consisted of mixed concrete, bricks, and occasional low-grade reinforcement, requiring a robust and versatile crusher.

The Solution: Compact 3-in-1 Mobile Stone Crushing Plant

To address these challenges, a compact and highly efficient 3-unit mobile crushing plant was deployed, centered around a heavy-duty hammer crusher. This configuration is ideal for processing medium-hardness materials like concrete and demolition waste, with a capacity of 80-120 tons per hour (TPH).

1. Vibrating Feeder

This unit ensures a steady and controlled feed of demolition waste (such as concrete blocks and bricks) to the crusher. Its pre-screening grid removes fine soil and small debris, improving overall crusher efficiency. It plays a crucial role in preventing overloading and ensuring smooth, continuous operation, which is vital for achieving the target output.

2. Core Stone Crusher- Heavy Hammer Crusher PCZ1308

This is the core of the entire production line.  The heavy hammer crusher PCZ1308 is a large-scale, heavy-duty hammer crusher renowned for its high reduction ratio. It is a "two-in-one" solution that combines the functions of primary and secondary crushing. It can take large pieces of concrete and crush them directly into a small, well-graded size in a single pass. This model is particularly effective for recycling applications as it offers high reduction ratios and simplifies the entire process flow.

3. Vibrating Screen (3YK1548)

This triple-deck screen sorts the crushed material from the hammer crusher into three different, usable product sizes (e.g., 0-5mm, 5-15mm, 15-25mm). The closed-circuit design allows oversize material to be returned to the crusher for further processing, ensuring a consistent and high-quality final product. The separated aggregates are stockpiled via integrated conveyors, ready for immediate use as base material, sub-base, or for producing recycled concrete.

Key Advantages of Compact Mobile Stone Crusher Plant

1. Simplified "All-in-One" Process: The use of a heavy hammer crusher as the primary unit allows for a simplified 3-in-1 design instead of a more complex 4-stage plant. This reduces initial investment, operational complexity, and maintenance points.

2. Exceptional Mobility and Quick Setup: The compact and integrated design allows for fast transportation between sites within Tianjin. Setup time is minimal, maximizing productive operational hours at each location.

3. Cost-Effectiveness: By processing demolition waste on-site into valuable aggregates, the plant significantly reduces material disposal costs and the need to purchase new virgin aggregates, creating a strong economic return.

4. Ease of Operation and Maintenance: The plant is designed for user-friendly operation, and its accessible layout simplifies routine maintenance and wear part inspection, a critical factor in remote locations.

5. Excellent for Recycling: The hammer crusher is highly effective in processing concrete waste with some embedded rebar, which can be separated by a magnet post-crushing.

1. Why choose a heavy hammer crusher for this project?

For recycling applications involving concrete and demolition waste, the heavy hammer crusher offers a more economical and simplified solution. It achieves primary and secondary crushing in one unit, resulting in a lower initial cost, a simpler layout, and easier operation, which is perfect for urban projects with lower volume requirements compared to a large quarry.

2. What is the main wear part, and how is it maintained?

The hammers and impact plates inside the hammer crusher are the primary wear parts. Their service life depends on the abrasiveness of the material. The great advantage of modern hammer crushers is that these parts are designed for easy replacement, minimizing equipment downtime.

3. Is crushing concrete profitable?

Yes, concrete crushing can be highly profitable. By recycling concrete and other demolition materials into valuable aggregate, businesses can save on disposal fees, produce a sellable product and capitalize on increasing demand for sustainable construction practices.

4. What is the difference between a track and a wheel?

While there are a few differences between tracks and wheels or tires, the primary difference is their weight distribution. Wheels have smaller areas that come in contact with the ground as they rotate. The weight of the equipment, whether unloaded or loaded, is continuously transferred to the ground.
