300tph Mobile Stone Crusher Plant for Limestone Processing in Columbia

Project Overview:

This case study details the successful deployment of a 300-ton-per-hour mobile crushing plant in Columbia. The project's primary objective was to process local limestone into high-quality aggregates for use in regional construction and infrastructure projects. The key challenge was to establish a highly efficient and flexible crushing system capable of producing three specific final products to meet market demands.

The Challenge:

The client required a crushing solution that could be relocated easily as the quarry face advanced. A stationary plant would have been inefficient due to the need for frequent infrastructure setup and high transportation costs for the raw material. Furthermore, the project demanded a reliable setup to consistently produce three different sizes of finished aggregates from abrasive limestone, all while maintaining a high output of 300 tph.

The Solution: A Two-Stage Mobile Crushing Plant

A combination of a mobile jaw crusher and a mobile cone crusher was selected as the optimal solution. This configuration provides excellent crushing efficiency, mobility, and the flexibility to produce precisely sized end products.

1. Primary Crushing Stage: Mobile Jaw Crusher (PE750X1060)

● Equipment: Mobile Jaw Crusher Plant equipped with a PE750 * 1060 jaw crusher.
● Function: This unit serves as the primary crusher. Large blocks of limestone (up to 630mm) are fed into the vibrating feeder. The powerful jaw crusher reduces the material to a medium size of approximately 150-200mm.
● Advantages: The PE750X1060 is renowned for its robust structure, high crushing ratio, and stable performance, making it ideal for the tough primary crushing stage of limestone.

2. Secondary Crushing Stage: Mobile Cone Crusher (HPC300)

● Equipment: Mobile Cone Crusher Plant equipped with an HPC300 multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher and vibrating screen 3YK2160
● Function: The pre-crushed material from the jaw crusher is conveyed to the mobile cone crusher. The HPC300 performs secondary and fine crushing. Its advanced hydraulic system allows for precise adjustment of the discharge opening, enabling the production of three distinct, well-shaped aggregate sizes.
● Advantages: The HPC300 cone crusher is highly efficient and produces excellent product shape (cubical). It is perfectly suited for processing abrasive materials like limestone and ensures high yield with low wear costs.

3. Screening & Finished Products:

● The crushed material from the cone crusher is then sorted by vibrating screen on mobile cone crushing plant into the three required final product sizes. Oversized material is recirculated back to the cone crusher for further crushing (closed-circuit operation), ensuring maximum efficiency and no waste.

300tph Moible Stone Crusher Key Benefits

1. High Mobility & Quick Setup: The entire plant can be relocated and made operational within a day, significantly reducing downtime and site preparation costs.

2. Exceptional Efficiency: The perfect synergy between the PE750X1060 jaw crusher and the HPC300 cone crusher consistently achieves the target capacity of 300 tph.
3. Excellent Product Quality: The combination produces precisely defined, cubical aggregates in three sizes, which are highly valued in the concrete and asphalt industries.
4. Cost-Effectiveness: By moving the crusher to the quarry face, truck haulage for raw material is minimized, leading to substantial savings in fuel and operational costs.
5. Reliability: Both stone crushers are designed for heavy-duty, continuous operation, ensuring high availability and minimal maintenance interruptions.

Is stone crusher a profitable business?

The stone crushing business has the potential to be profitable, given the continuous demand for crushed stones in construction projects. However, success in this industry requires careful planning, market research, operational efficiency, cost management, and adherence to environmental regulations.

Do I need a license to operate a crusher?

Permits and Regulations: Crushing operations must comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental impact assessments and zoning permits.

What is the difference between mobile crusher and fixed crusher?

Portable crushers offer flexibility and mobility, catering to small to medium-sized projects that require occasional relocation. On the other hand, stationary crushers are designed for large-scale operations with higher capacity and efficiency demands.

How to choose the right mobile crusher?

Here are some key considerations: material characteristics. hardness and abrasiveness, different crushers are designed to handle varying levels of hardness and abrasiveness, capacity requirements, mobility and size, technology and features, operational costs, safety and environmental considerations, manufacturer support.
